Jon Flaming lives with his wife/business partner, Kathy in Texas. Jon & Kathy’s children and grandchildren all live close by. Primarily self-taught, Jon’s work has been influenced by a number of artists including William Lester, Everett Spruce, Otis Dozier, Stuart Davis and Marsden Hartley. Jon works in oil, acrylic and found materials. 

Over the past several years, Stetson, Tecovas, The John Wayne Family, Yellowstone and YETI have partnered with Jon and licensed his work to help promote their brands. Jon’s modern interpretation of the Western genre has earned him a loyal following of fans and collectors. His fine art resides in the permanent collection of The Amon Carter Museum in Fort Worth, the Booth Western Art Museum in Georgia, the Tyler Museum of Art, The Grace Museum in Abilene, the San Angelo Museum of Fine Art and the Museum of the Southwest in Midland.

His work has been exhibited at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City and is also in many private and public collections and has been exhibited in numerous solo and group gallery shows. For the last 2 years Jon has exhibited work at the prestigious Far West Show in NYC and Austin.
